Thin Crust Pizza Toy Teether Amigurumi

"Hey Mr. Fox, did you want my pizza?"

Rosalina (3 months old)

I just realized that my last post was before birth -- and now 3 months later, I am back! I have recently focused on making hand made toy teethers, blankies and hankies as they are well needed for newborns/toddlers. So follow me to see what is more to come. I do wish to be able to post regularly, but no promises as I am a full time mom now

Difficulty: Easy

Materials & Info

Yarn: Paintbox Vanilla Cream, Pillar Red and Buttercup Yellow - 100% Cotton Aran

Wooden Cabone Ring

Steel Hook Size: 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm for the toppings

Pattern Notes:

This is a pattern that you can use to create 3 different items if you wish; a teether, an amigurumi, or just a thin crust pizza toy.

Abbreviations:

Ch = Chain

Sc = Single Crochet

Dc = Double Crochet

Slst = Slip stitch

St = Stitch

F/O = Fasten off

[repeat everything within brackets]

Pattern:

Cheese with yellow yarn

Row 1: Ch3, hdc into last st (2)

Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in second st from hook, hdc in next st

Repeat Row 2 until you have 12 sts

[Sc into fist st, 3 dcs into the 2nd st, skip st] repeat x 3, FO

Sauce switch to red yarn

Row 1: Ch 2, [Dc in second st from hook, hdc, sc, hdc, dc] repeat x 2. FO

Crust with brown yarn

Row 1: Ch3, hdc into last st (2)

Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in second st from hook, hdc in next st

Repeat Row 2 until you have 14 sts. (If you like to have a bigger crust, you can repeat row 2 to your liking)

If you are going to add it to a teether ring, continue below otherwise, FO and read the Assembly section.

Teether Row: Ch 2, turn, dc across all sts (repeat this row until you can wrap it around your teether ring). FO

Wrap Teether Row onto the ring, and attach it using slst across, then FO

Assembly

Attach the cheese and sauce directly onto your crust by sc evenly around the edge of your pizza. I then used slst across the top of the sauce to complete the attachment. Before you seal it off completely, you may start stuffing your pizza with some polyester filling for a fuller pizza effect, otherwise, you may leave it as a thin crust.

Toppings (using 2.5 mm crochet hook)

Pepperoni with red yearn

Half Slices (make 2):

Create a magic ring and sc x 4 into the ring. Ch 1 and Turn.

2 sc into each st (8) FO and leave long tail for sewing.

Full Slice (make 1)

Create a magic ring and sc x 6 into the ring. Slst to join to the beginning of st. Place marker to mark end of round.

2 sc into each st. (12) Slst to join to the beginning of st.

[1 sc into fist st, and 2 sc into the second st] repeat to end of round then slst to join to the beginning st (18) FO and leave long tail for sewing.
