Go Fish! FREE Crochet Fish Pattern

If you read my previous Clown Fish post then you'll know I was trying to make a fishing game for my 15 month old daughter. Well, the Clown Fish turned out to be a little too big for the magnet to catch on, so I had to come up with another pattern where the fish were smaller and so the magnet could pick it up. Even though it's called fishing and not catching, if you don't make it easy enough, then your toddler will definitely lose patient before they will actually enjoy the game. The yarn is also long for my toddler to be able to fish while standing up, so instead, we typically just put her on the couch as she goes fishing. Pattern Notes

This is a combination of crochet items that creates a Go Fish Sensory Play set that is ideal for toddlers to enjoy at home. This pattern contains instructions on how to crochet the rod, the bobble, and the fish. The bobble and the fish contain magnets. This is a great toy for kids to learn different colours as well. It promotes hand eye coordination skills. Each fish measures approximately 4.5” (11.5 cm) x 2.5” (6.5cm). The bobble is approximately 2.5” (6.5 cm) in diameter (paid version). The rod is 9.5” (24 cm) with a string attached that is 18” (46 cm) (paid version).
